Middle School Deans
Students benefit from a unique dean program carefully structured to provide them highly individualized guidance throughout their Poly journey. On entering the Middle School, students are assigned a dean who will help them design an academic schedule reflective of their interests and goals, who monitors their progress and helps address concerns, and who partners with them to ensure their fullest participation in school life. The deans are the first point of contact for families for matters large and small.
Middle School deans meet with students and families to craft a course of study that is uniquely suited to each student. Students are prompted to challenge themselves by opting for courses that will introduce them to new modes of thinking and extend their knowledge and skills alike.
Guide, confidant, cheerleader, organizational coach and seer, the dean is that gentle advocate who ensures that each child is seen, heard, and supported on the path to greater independence and personal agency.
